Building A Safer D.C Together
A Safer DC Is A Community-Based Outreach Organization That Aims To Deter, Prevent, & Intervene Against Gun Violence & Violent Crimes In Wards 2 And 5 In The District of Columbia. We Offer And Provide Engagement, Programs, Referrals, Resources And Activities To At-Risk Populations In The Community That Are Most Likely To Engage In Acts Or Crimes Of Violence.
We Partner With Various Organizations & Businesses Throughout The District To Provide Effective Alternatives And Solutions To Our Served Populations And Communities Within Wards 2 & 5. We Take Pride In Knowing That Through The Hard Work And Efforts Of Our Violence Interruption Team, We Are Saving Lives & Making Our Communities Safer.

The mission of Safer DC is to help prevent violence and promote safer, healthier, and more connected communities in Ward 2 and Ward 5 through partnership, prevention, outreach, and community engagement.
Working alongside ONSE and other local partners, we strive to create environments where residents feel safe, young people have opportunities to succeed, and community members have the support they need to build a brighter future.
