A Safer D.C
A safer Ward 2 means investing in proactive, community-based solutions: stronger relationships with local law enforcement, better street lighting, improved pedestrian and bike safety infrastructure, and targeted outreach for vulnerable individuals near our transit centers and commercial corridors. Whether you are walking home at night, running a neighborhood business, or raising a family here, you deserve to feel secure in every corner of our ward.
Building a safer Ward 5 requires a comprehensive approach that addresses public safety from every angle. It means ensuring timely emergency response, modernizing traffic safety along major arterial corridors, and restoring vibrant, well-lit commercial strips. Crucially, it also requires investing in root-cause solutions: expanding violence-interruption programs, creating constructive opportunities and safe spaces for our youth, and bolstering mental health resources.

“Together, we can replace fear with opportunity, connection, and hope.”
